Results Wire: US HHS Advisory Committee Develops Recommendations on Pediatric, Privacy and Harmonization Issues in Research – MAR 24-25, 2015 (SACHRP)

The US Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS or HHS) held a meeting of the Secretary's Advisory Committee on Human Research Protections (SACHRP) on Tuesday–Wednesday, March 24-25, 2015. The meeting focused on the use of newborn dried bloodspots (DBS) in research; harmonization of regulations and/or guidelines for human subjects research; Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) issues with individual research results; and pediatric studies for drugs and biologics.
