Background Analysis: US HHS Advisory Committee to Discuss Topics Related to Human Research Protections – OCT 21-22, 2015 (SACHRP)
The US Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has announced that there will be a meeting of the Secretary's Advisory Committee on Human Research Protections (SACHRP) on Wednesday to Thursday, October 21-22, 2015. The meeting will include presentations entitled as follows:
-Overview of NPRM (Referring to the Notice of Proposed Rule Making (NPRM), dated September 8, 2015.)
-Overview of SACHRP Recommendations on the NPRM
-Mandated Single IRB Review Under the NPRM
-Biospecimens and Biospecimen Consent Under the NPRM
-Informed Consent and Waiver Under the NPRM
-Exclusions and Exemptions Under the NPRM.
Both days will also include a 30 minute session for public comment.
