Results Wire: US FDA Advisory Committee Reviews the Use of Anesthetic and Sedation Drugs in Pediatrics – NOV 19, 2014 (SBFDA)
On November 19, 2014, the Science Board to the Food and Drug Administration (SBFDA) reviewed the existing nonclinical and clinical data related to the use and potential toxicity of anesthetics and sedation drugs in the pediatric population. The Board made recommendations on steps that the FDA should take to further evaluate and mitigate the risks associated with the use of these drugs in the pediatric population and mechanisms to best communicate with the public regarding this issue.
